Description

This is a fabulous matching set of original circa 1890s Staffordshire dogs. They sit 9.5 inches tall and 7.25 inches at the base. The green and copper/gold luster is wonderful. The green and copper luster is difficult to capture in the pics. The dog on the left has some discoloration on its tail end, I am not sure if that is original or something seeped in through the crazing of the glaze. These dogs are very similar to the ones in the book” A_Z of Staffordshire Dogs “by Clive Mason Pope on page 99 figure 44. A good addition to any collection.
