Thi s is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated russet & white spaniel dogs with the separate front legs and wonderful overall portrayals, of which: During our research we have been informed they cer tainly date from the mid 19th century. Russet red & w hite colouring with the: coloured faces with the wonderful overall detailing. Each has a collar locket and long chain with travels to the rear side . pottery. Variations in sizes which is not unusual for staffordshire dogs of over 150years old. Each has an overall height of about 9.75inches. Max base size of about 6.75 x 4.75 inches. Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is: very good and both are not subject to: any major blemishes except: one has a hairline under the base with: the other from the ear travelling down the rear down to the base where there is a firing crack underneath the base edge from time of manufacture. due to age: areas of minor rubbing.
